Deep Roots. Living Culture. Forward Motion.

Named for a principle borrowed from roots reggae — that the most powerful messages travel furthest when they travel in culture, not confrontation — Onward Revillution is a publication about culture, art, fashion, music and identity for people who value what lasts over what trends. Onward Revillution is the space where those threads converge.

The writing here moves across disciplines deliberately. An essay on Kind of Blue and the friction that makes Coltrane’s solos irreplaceable. A deep investigation into the fashion industry’s overproduction crisis and the market correction already underway. A piece on inherited style and what it means to dress with intention rather than compliance. A meditation on generational tethering — the knowledge that passes hand to hand across fires and time, and what it costs when that line is severed.

The subjects are different. The argument is always the same: that meaning accumulates through time, care, and proximity — and that a culture of disposability is not just wasteful, it is an act of forgetting.

If you’ve ever felt that the things worth having are the things worth keeping — in your wardrobe, your record collection, your understanding of the world — this publication is built for you.

About the Author

Jacob Revill is an independent creative, brand builder, and writer whose work is rooted in a single conviction: that authenticity, craftsmanship, and originality are not nostalgic values — they are radical ones.

His career began on the UK’s fashion frontline — from Brighton retail to Boxfresh, the country’s original streetwear brand, where he worked alongside designers, marketing teams, and ownership before managing their flagship Covent Garden store. After emigrating to Canada, he brought those lessons into a broader creative practice spanning vintage fashion, independent music, photography, and brand strategy.
